Oakmere are delighted to offer this superb GP 718 RSK Spyder for sale from our Cheshire showroom.
Manufactured by GP as a replica of Porsche's iconic and extremely valuable 718 RSK Spyder.
Built on a shortened 1960 VW Beetle chassis, giving evocation the correct wide 5 stud pattern as per the original, this GP Projects kit was professionally built by a company recommended by GP Projects.
The specialist builder put the various components together along with a new VW 1600 twin port, dual carburettor engine followed by a professional refinish in two pack silver metallic.
The car was completed in 1998 and the previous owner hardly used it during the past 26 years, hence the extremely low mileage of less than 2000 miles!
The upholstery is finished in red Jaguar grained leather and the carpet is black wool with red piping.
Matching 4 point Luke harnesses and a Mountney wood rim steering wheel are fitted. The minimal dash is fitted with a pair of replica Porsche 356 gauges.
A fitted mohair tonneau cover completes the minimalistic trim.
Fitted to the almost new engine is a 718 replica sports exhaust and a standard Volkswagen four speed transmission.
In April this year the car had a full safety check by Retroclassic engineering. This included work being done to the break system, suspension, wheel bearing and fuel system at a not inconsiderable cost of over £6500 including a full service.
