This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2. 3 16 Valve really is a rare machine particularly as this car has the more sought after 5 speed dog-leg gearbox. Built in collaboration with Cosworth and with DTM success in mind, the 190 was a subtle but highly effective and fast car. Delivered new to Italy in 1985 and imported to Ireland in 2023 it really has benefited from a dry climate and is rust free.
The exterior bodywork is unmarked and the bumpers and side trims are in the correct satin finish. The wheels have been refurbished and new tyres fitted. This car is almost 40 years old but the interior looks half that age and everything works exactly as it should.
This 190 has covered just 147, 000 kms, the engine is responsive, the gear selection slick and the handling is precise. This car had the BMW E30 M3 in its sights and it out performed it in many ways. Today they are incredible value for money.
