Daihatsu Compagno Spider 1000cc from 1970 with 44, 518 km on the odometer.
According to our research, only three left-hand drive versions were imported into Belgium between 1968 and 1970.
This example remains very original and complete and has been kept indoors for more than 30 years. Consequently the bodywork is in excellent condition and shows no corrosion. (It does, however, need a refresh.)
Having been immobilised since 1995, the engine has been restarted (without issue) and the hydraulic clutch system has been refurbished.
Which allows the engine to start with a quarter turn of the key and to do a few wheel spins.
I own the two other Belgian examples.
One in poor condition, more suited to providing spare parts.
And the third which needs a thorough restoration.
These are the three only known examples in Belgium.
