After the lacklustre 308 GT4 Ferrari had to make a decision whether to produce a proper 2 plus 2 for adults seated in the rear or to pretend to as they did with the GT4!
The result was the Pininfarina designed Mondial which genuinely had more rear space.
With its V8 engine, it also performed well and was styled as many cars were in the 1980s as a more rakish/ wedge shape.
