Built by the Benelli Motorcycle Company between 2002 and 2014, the Tornado was designed to compete with the high performance 'superbikes' produced by Ducati and the Japanese big four
The 2005/ 6 Tornado Tre Novecento was powered by an 898cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled triple generating 140bhp @11, 500rpm
The frame was built from a mix of aluminium and steel with an adjustable Ohlins telescopic fork mounted on the front and an aluminium swing-arm with an adjustable Ohlins shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities
The engine was mounted forwards in the frame which left very little room for a radiator so instead it was mounted in the rear seat section with dual fans drawing air through it thus creating one of the Tornado's signature features
With striking looks and formidable performance, the bike was serious competition to the established manufacturers.
Dating from 2006, this Tre Novecento 900 is finished in silver and green and has covered approximately 12, 000 miles
In good original condition but has been stored for some time, so some recommissioning may be required before use.
