1985 Ford Transit Mk2 2. 5 Diesel. We took this as a trade in today on our yellow MK2 van. This one was brought in from Malta very recently by one of our customers. It starts runs and drives and is very solid underneath. It will require a cosmetic restoration but is a great starting point for a project. ALl tax and duty has been paid and the NOVA declaration has been done. We will fill out all the registration paperwork for the new owner
Body - Mk2 transit panel van. Solid underneath and doesnt look to have ever been welded. Good inner wings, steps, floors. There is bubbling on the bottom of drivers door, os back door and a hole in the bonnet. There is a spare bonnet, side door with no window, drivers door and rear door with the van. Bit bubbling on the sills and wing tops as well. Paintwork will obviously need redone as part of the project. Van is complete with nothing missing. 80s style pop up sunroof fitted
Mechanics - Starts no problem and we drove it round the industrial estate. Clutch is fine, brakes work. Quite a lot of play in the steering box so that will need sorting. Engine sounds healthy enough with no smoke or rattles but will obviously need serviced as we have no idea when it was last done. Van will need a good check over from front to back. Maltese disc on the windscreen suggests it was last used properly in 2018
Interior - All there but seats will retrimmed. Door cards and headlining are OK
Wheels - Horrible alloys but we have 3 proper mk2 steels that will go with it. You just need to find 1 more then get them refurbed.
