SUMMARY
Firstly, just to say, this car is just fantastic, and probably one of my favourite cars out of the many that have passed through my hands in the last 20 years, its just the complete package; fast, very powerful, economical, smooth, safe, ultra comfortable, practical and it does all that whilst just oozing class; not may cars can tick all those boxes.
Its also one of those rare things that doesn't come around too often; a totally unabused Mercedes E-Class Estate that hasn't been used as a van or truck and has been properly maintained and correctly kept. It's also incredibly high spec too and features options seldom found on this model. If I didn’t have to sell cars for a living, I’d probably keep this as its all the car anyone will ever need, it does everything so well, is in immaculate condition and really does looks the part.
The original owner kept this car almost 18 years, which speaks volumes. When he ordered the car, specified a whole host of expensive options to make long distance travel a pleasure. The car was also kept the car a dry garage, and it was only serviced by Mercedes Main dealers, or respected specialists. All the questions any potential buyer could possibly ask about this car will be met with a favourable response, including the all-important SBC pump, which was recently replaced with a brand new (not reconditioned) Genuine Mercedes component, so that will be good for another twenty odd years at least. All things considered, I don’t think you’ll find many better W211 estates to be honest.
It also features the legendary OM648 Straight Six Diesel engine (just lets say if you know, you know!) which is hugely powerful and suffers non of the ills of the later OM642 V6. Infact I’d go as far as saying the OM648 is probably one of the best engines Mercedes have made and at this mileage its hardly run-in (as they say)
So in summary, one of the nicest examples of the a S211 you’ll find, and one of the highest specification examples I’ve come across. If your looking for what I think is one of the best estate cars ever made, you wont go too far wring with this one; it’s a real gem.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that. The cars I source are carefully selected and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have.
