Description
We are excited to offer an original example of the 1950’s Wolseley 6/ 80 police car.
LTM 832 left the factory on the 01/ 04/ 1953, and after being purchased by its current owner 2 years ago, his example underwent a full bare metal respray in 2024, which came close to costing the current vendor £5, 000 in total for paint and correcting any metal work. It has also had fitted all new chrome bumpers and over-riders front and rear, plus boot hinges, costing a further £2, 500. Previous works completed also included a full engine rebuild in 2002. The interior remains in a fully unrestored, original condition as shown by the wear over the last 72 years all over and would benefit from recommissioned upholstery.
LTM 832 currently portrays a typical 1950s unmarked police car, complete with a Winkworth bell and tannoy. It also features a scratch built control panel alongside an original radio unit. Paperwork includes the original logbook with all the stamps, owners manuals, and invoices for recent work.
The car performs very nicely, driving and handling wonderfully, and presents itself as a very solid example to the marque, just requiring a little further finishing to make it an outstanding car.
Viewings strictly by appointment only.
