A great entry level classic car, which has benefited from numerous new parts and regular servicing carried out by its most recent owner over the past 2 to 3 years. Including the following new parts: five tyres, stainless steel exhaust, radiator, front discs and pads, electronic ignition and dynamo, rear shock absorbers, gearbox oil, service parts etc
She comes with a standard UK V5, so it can be driven anywhere in the UK with no need for reregistration or import duties. We can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK or Ireland at very reasonable rates.
The exterior is smart, solid, and very presentable, with glossy paintwork and a good overall finish. The chrome work is also in good condition, as are the steel wheels and hubcaps. The wheels are fitted with new tyres, as is the spare.
The interior is equally as good, with the seats, door cards, and dashboard all in great condition. While the carpets are a little tired, it’s a straightforward fix should the new owner wish to address it.
The engine bay, boot, and underside are all tidy and well cared for, with nothing that appears to require immediate attention.
On the road, she drives very well, the engine is quiet and pulls strongly, the automatic gearbox operates smoothly and precisely, and the brakes are excellent.
The Hillman Minx was produced by the Rootes Group from 1931 to 1970. It evolved from a simple pre-war family saloon into a stylish and reliable post-war classic.
Popular for its solid engineering and practicality, the Minx was offered in several body styles and shared parts with other Rootes models like the Singer Gazelle and Sunbeam Rapier.
Production ended in 1970, succeeded by the Hillman Hunter.
Please keep in mind that she’s fast approaching her 60th birthday, and like any classic car, there may always be minor areas needing attention or room for improvement. That said, I believe most of these can be easily managed through regular maintenance and care.
