Vehicle history:
The first Range Rover was officially unveiled on 17 June 1970 and manufactured from July 1970 to February 1996, while being continually developed technically. Its permanent four‑wheel drive, coil springs and not least the 3. 5-litre V8 engine revolutionised the off‑road market at the time. The Range Rover was already regarded in the 1970s as a template for a number of other luxury off‑roaders. Despite its comfortable, and if desired luxurious, interior and its road‑going appearance, the Range Rover “Classic” is a capable off‑roader even without modifications. The long axle travel and the relatively high ground clearance ensure grip even in difficult conditions.
This lovely Range Rover, in the rare Tuscan-Blue colour, was delivered on 31 January 1977 through the Heinz Hill dealership in Wiesbaden to the first owner, who kept the vehicle until 2022 (45 years). Up to 1980, five inspections were carried out at the same dealership. The second owner drove the Range Rover for one year before the current owner took ownership in 2023. There are numerous repair and service invoices, so a low mileage can be inferred.
