"The 1972 Montesa Cota 247 was a popular trials motorcycle known for its 247cc two-stroke engine, five-speed transmission, and strong performance in observed trials events. Key features included a tubular steel frame, a telescopic front fork, twin shock rear suspension, and a 5-speed, oil-bath clutch gearbox with gear-driven primary drive. It was praised for its smooth power delivery, agile handling, and excellent maneuverability for its time".
