Description
The Land Rover Series 3, produced from 1972 to 1985, was a popular upgrade to the Series IIA, featuring a modernised plastic dashboard with driver-focused instruments, improved synchromesh gearbox, and standard upgrades like an alternator, offering classic ruggedness with enhanced usability and becoming a beloved British icon for off-roading and utility, despite its rudimentary driving experience.
This Land Rover Series 3 was first registered on the 23rd of October 1972 in Guildford, and has spent a number of years in Epsom.
The Land Rover starts and runs very well, it has a very sweet engine that sounds great.
The drivetrain is in good order, no nasty noises and all gears are direct. It has overdrive fitted and genuinely drives very nicely - as far as Land Rovers go!
The chassis is in good condition, it is not covered in patches and looks corrosion free.
As with most Land Rovers there is always something to tinker with and make your own, it’s very much a blank canvas to enjoy and maintain or turn into something special.
We do have some paperwork including the current V5.
