1959 Frog Eyed Sprite.
Imported from the USA in 2018. Resides in UK now.
The car was in fantastic condition but the paint was faded and old. In 2019 it underwent a restoration to go through the car completely. The restoration included; Preparation of bodywork for Ivory paint. The original metalwork was in fantastic shape and I believe it to be original. I can't see any welded sections but this would be very surprising for a car of this age. There is no rust on this car.
The engine was refreshed but not new. Carbs have been ultra sonic cleaned as it hasn't run in 4 or so years.
Disc brakes to front wheels.
Suspension was stripped, serviced, and painted.
The seats are red leather and newly reupholstered.
All other interior trim is original and in good condition.
All chrome work was sent away to be re-chromed.
Hard top and soft top.
Tonneau cover.
Comes with a huge amount of documentation, V5 logbook in my name, and import papers.
Please note; I am a enthusiast. I purchased this car summer of 2025. It went straight into my garage and hasn't moved since. The previous owner had the restoration work completed and I have photos to show this. Although I'd love to keep this car I can't see how I'll get time to finish the last 5% work required. To finish this car it needs; new carpet, wiring loom connected to lights (it is installed), carbs balanced, new fuel pump, brakes bled through. This is a really solid and genuine car. Apparently the restoration of everything came to GBP16, 000. 00. (Can't be proven). Anyone who inspects this car will see how good it is. I will loose money on this car but I've accepted that. Car will need to be trailered away as it isn't running as advised in advert.
My asking price is very low and non negotiable. It keeps things simple this way. Yes, you could make money on this car if you are a trader, or have a great deal if you wish to enjoy it.
