This very special Seven is 1 of the 25 Monaco limited edition models produced, and looks absolutely tremendous with its polished aluminium body. These Monaco editions were available in a veriety of mechanical specifications between 2010/ 2011, and came in either polished aluminium or full Gravity Black paint, complete with the official Monaco decal pack, custom interior and boot cover.
This Monaco started it’s life as Roadsport 125, and was registered for the first time in 2013. From this point, the car lay dormant for 10 years, completing just 2 miles before it was picked up by a new owner. This owner took it to a well known Caterham tuners called Northampton Motorspot, who completely recommissioned the car, as well as significantly upgrading it! As well as the expected service items, such as cambelts, hoses and the typical fluids and filters, Northampton upgraded the engine to 144bhp, and fitted a lightweight flywheel while they were at it. In addition they also fitted a new set of Nitron springs and dampers, and a qauife ATB limited slip differential.
As well as the performance, this highly refined engine also provides fantastic drivability, with a smooth production of power throughout the rev range and a sporty soundtrack from cone air filter and short 4-into-1 exhaust system. This Caterham is then an extremely usable “wolf in sheeps clothing”, with classic, retro styling, and modern performance.
