This particular machine was previously owned by British Superbike legend Shane "Shakey" Byrne and is number 531 of just 1, 500 street legal examples produced worldwide. Having covered only 1, 412 miles from new, it presents in superb condition and is fitted with the highly sought after GP7 race exhaust system. Adding to its unique provenance, the bike has been personally signed by "Shakey" himself and is accompanied by a signed copy of his autobiography, Unshakable, inscribed “Look after my baby.” Supplied with its original Ducati handbook and the standard exhaust system, this represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire one of the most significant modern Ducati's ever built with truly special ownership history!! "The Ducati Desmosedici RR Team Version (2008) is a limited-production, road-legal MotoGP replica built by Ducati, with only about 1, 500 units made worldwide; it features a 989cc 90° V4 engine with desmodromic valve actuation producing around 200 hp (with race exhaust), a lightweight 171 kg dry weight thanks to carbon fibre bodywork and magnesium wheels, Öhlins race-spec suspension, Brembo radial brakes, and a distinctive MotoGP-inspired red livery with a bold white stripe; essentially, it’s one of the closest street-legal experiences to riding a factory MotoGP bike, and today it’s highly prized as a collectible superbike".
