Description
This 1961 Royal Enfield is simply stunning. It was purchased in 2020 by a regular customer of ours looking to keep himself busy throughout the lockdown. When he took delivery, it was a running bike but in need of a restoration. Having spent a great deal of time going through the bike comprehensively is now presents superbly. Following the restoration, the gentleman never rode it therefore currently has 2 miles on the odometer. Having been stood for a number of years in a small collection of classic cars and bikes, the bike is in need of a refresh prior to riding.
439 ANF is powered by an air-cooled, overhead valve, four-stroke engine. The single unit-construction design of the engine and 4-speed gearbox in one casing allows for better sealing and a compact presentation. Allowing for improved breathing of the engine the alloy cylinder head is equipped with larger inlet valves which combined with the tuned camshafts gives impressive performance for a 250cc block. The lightweight frame and design of the Enfield provides a riding experience often quoted as superbly nippy.
