Wonderful and beautiful original showmans wagon measuring 20' 11" x 7' 2" x 10' 6" from ground to top of roof - extensively restored in 2006 by Lankashire Architectural antiques in Preston.
It dates from around 1890 and the original chassis and roof structure were retained. The body was completely rebuilt as were windows and doors. The mahogany floor is original and superb. The roof was re done in Callico painted layers as original. The interior was insulated between the exterior walls and the T&G relined interior. The wheels are on new tyres and the underside is in great shape. The original wooden lockers are original and need work, but do not effect the structure - I never got round to doing them.
The interior can best be described as Country style traditional, but not original. It is therefore superb as an office, a spare bedroom/ living space - a bed and breakfast business opportunity. My understanding is that as a wheeled agricultural building it does not need planning permission - but do check.
The double bed is fixed as is the pop up mahogany table. Included in the sale are the curtains and bedding, the basin unit which is not plumbed in, the chairs and the wall mirror over the basin. The 2 original door lamps which are about the same period are also included.
