The second-generation 997 sits right in the sweet spot of the modern 911 range. With its beautifully sculpted broad rear arches, fabulous 3. 8 litre flat-six and - in this case - the involvement of a proper manual gearbox, it combines modern usability with an analogue character so valued by enthusiasts.
On the outside, the Gen II 997 received some subtle styling tweaks, but it is under the skin where the significant updates were made. Direct fuel injection produces increased power and improved efficiency, whilst revised Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) works in conjunction with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive and a mechanically locking rear differential to deliver exceptional balance and composure.
Supplied new by OPC Glasgow in December 2010, this 2011 model features a very desirable specification.
Finished in classic Basalt black metallic with 19 inch Carrera Sport alloy wheels. Factory-optioned switchable Sports exhaust system, Bi Xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights, and rear ParkAssist.
Inside, two-tone black and Stone grey leather extends across the seats, dash, centre console and door trims. Unusually, the centre console is finished in body colour, paired with an aluminium gear lever and handbrake, along with a ‘Carrera 4 S’ logo embossed on the leather storage compartment lid.
Heated Sports seats with Porsche crests and a heated multi function steering wheel add comfort, whilst the BOSE Surround Sound System, PCM 3. 0 with navigation and telephone modules, and universal audio interface ensure compatibility with the modern world.
The car is accompanied by an excellent and well-documented maintenance history, supported by a comprehensive file of invoices, receipts and MOT certificates. Servicing has been carried out by both Porsche main dealers and respected independent specialists, with stamps recorded in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025.
Most recently serviced by OPC Brooklands fewer than 1, 750 miles ago, which included new spark plugs, brake fluid, drive belt, plus transmission and all-wheel drive oil.
