Of all of the Chimaeras built, very few were 500s, so this is a rare car in itself, add to that the additions of PAS a great upgrade, an engine rebuild, full ACT exhaust, fresh suspension and lightweight wheels, you’ve got all the makings of a very tasty TVR!
The car has benefited from both cosmetic and performance upgrades during its life. It is a car we have helped to look after for the last 4 years and we know it well as one of the best Chimaeras out there, it has an incredible history file from new, plus a host of great upgrades, so it is a unique proposition for the new owner.
Not only does it drive well, but with only 33k miles on the clock, it presents rather nicely too. Yes, there are a few marks on the paint as with any 27-year-old car, but with the leather nice and bright, fresh carpets throughout and an almost unmarked hood and rear screen, the car is in very nice order throughout.
Fire the car up and even in the coldest of weather, it’ll bark into life and settle instantly into a super smooth idle. The car drives fabulously on fresh Bilstein dampers, having had the engine rebuilt, with a few choice upgrades at the time, the car pulls hard and sounds biblical through the full stainless ACT exhaust. A truly brilliant car all round.

The history file is as good as the drive: The original service book pack is overfilled with stamps already, plus 2 folders full & a copy of a magazine featuring the car in a special 7 page edit. The file just details that it has a huge amount of love lavished on it over the years. With a great factory spec including the power steering, the car has only been improved on since and therefore has to be one of the very best Chimaeras you’d be lucky enough to drive. Every little detail and upgrade you’d look for has been dealt with already, you really do just need to get in and enjoy it!
