Original features preserved: chrome grille with Hanomag logo, round headlights, chrome bumpers, dashboard.
WORKS TO CONSIDER (depending on intended use)
Vehicle is functional as is. For regular use or a personalised finish, the following could be considered:
Addition of a custom-made mattress (bed frame already built), installation of blackout curtains, installation of a 12V fridge (designated location), touch-ups to exterior/ interior paint to suit aesthetic preferences, repair of gauges and windscreen wipers (fuses likely at fault).
Estimated budget for these optional upgrades: €1, 000 to €2, 500.
COLLECTOR INTEREST
This Hanomag-Henschel F20E marks a rare page in German automotive history. The Hanomag brand, founded in Hanover, built locomotives, tractors and commercial vehicles before merging with Henschel and later being absorbed by Daimler-Benz.
This F20E model, produced during that brief transitional period, is today one of the most sought-after German light commercial vehicles by discerning collectors. Its rarity, distinctive high-roof design and reliable mechanicals make it an appealing heritage investment.
The vintage German commercial vehicle market has been expanding strongly in recent years, as with the VW Kombi or Mercedes L206, whose values have tripled in ten years.
POSSIBLE USE
Ideal for slow travel and vintage getaways, with a cruising speed of 70-80 km/ h suited to peaceful exploration. Also highly sought-after for events (weddings, photo/ video shoots, advertisements) thanks to its unique aesthetics.
