The Manchester Company had a long history, first producing cars in 1904. WWI enabled the Company to expand with War Department contracts for commercial vehicles and Staff cars. Car production ended in 1936.
This example’s pedigree begins in 1921 with the introduction of a new 3. 7L side-valve engine with a four-speed gearbox. Spending a lot of its life in South Africa where it was fully restored through the 1970’s and 80’s, it subsequently came to Britain in the early 2000’s and has been in occasional use ever since. A comprehensive history file includes hand-written notes of the restoration process.
