Description
For Sale is my Jawa Babetta moped which I bought on a whim earlier this year to add to my collection of "real motorcycles" so that I could join the local section of the EACC (The EACC's aim is to promote interest in and enthusiasm for all types of autocycles, mopeds, cyclemotors and other motorised cycles, the older the better.)
Unfortunately however I know realise having various cancers I just don't have the puff to start and or pedal the smallest mopeds so will have to get a kick start / push button Honda instead.
The Jawa was registered 1st December 1979 and has V%c in my name together with a current Tax and MOT certificates which expire Feb 2013. She starts and the electrics, speedo etc function as they should i. e with the engine running. The bike also has a brand new tyre on the front and an excellent(minimal wear)tyre on the rear.
Paint work is quite presentable but does show scuffs and marks where fuel spilt from tank etc although it is all corrosion free. Wheel chrome is perfectly presentable with very slight pitting although a good polish should eliminate completely. My intention was to strip the bike down over the winter and check everything - respray her and be ready for spring.
This will make a very interesting and CHEAP introduction to "Buzzing" and of course you it has the advantage of being able to remove the handlebars and fit her in a hatchback car with ease.
