Beschreibung
One of only 17 left on UK roads (believed the only one in limited-run 2315 Pennine colour) this car has had two elderly owners and is totally original with Lombard RAC, supplying dealer and gear-change window stickers still present, with an outstanding interior which along with full VOSA history and documentation backs up the 60, 500 miles. Having been garaged from new, the car looks amazing with only a few minor marks and no structural issues. It has the original higher power later carb 136 type engine, without the difficulties that the 135 injection/ cataylst engined version suffer and is surprisingly tight to drive. It is in need of a small patch to engine compartment edge and some engine work as there is currently an overheating issue which the repair was quoted at £150-200 for a replacement (higher spec) head gasket by the local dealer, or if needed a head skim (£50) or replacement head (£60). Complete engines are available for £150 and are a DIY fit. The forum insist that the job is an easy DIY job to do as the engine is very simple but due to time and neighbour issues (who wrote to council when I dared to have it professionally machine polished on the drive) I have decided to offer it for sale. With minimum work this car will be show ready and is a rarer sight than a Bugatti Veyron, yet parts and advice are plentiful, with a busy owners' forum too. I spent 18 months finding this car and viewed dozens and am hugely frustrated that circumstances mean I cannot enjoy it myself.
Comes with long MOT and 5 months tax, original mats, first aid kit, tools, handbook, history (7 stamps), £30 of fuel, all good tyres, quality CD/ RDS player with speakers set in Skoda pods under the dash, 500ml colour-matched paint, fitted Lombard style working spotlights, sunroof, full size alloy spare wheel, Haynes manaul, etc.
A very rare and original car in a limited run colour, with DIY works to perfect, offered at huge loss to myself, simply to placate my Parents on whose drive the car is stored and who had the council letter...
Well worth a long journey to view it-see photos-it is a super car and almost impossible to find now.
