Description
These cars were aimed at the sport of trials which is still very popular today.
A total of 94 Mk1 cars were built with 72 of them built in 1951 and a total of about 250 Dellow cars built including the Mk2’s. These are quite a rare car and do not come up for sale very often. This car has had lots of competition history in various engine/ gearbox combinations. It was rebuilt in its latest configuration to approximately standard specification using Ford E93a gearbox and axle mated to a 100E Ford 1172cc engine with an aluminium Aquaplane head and twin SU carburettors. See the link to YouTube for the 1992 MCC Lands’ End Trial at 17:05 minutes for the car in action on Blue Hills.
