1935 Derby Bentley 3 1/ 2 Litre 3 position drop head Coupé
Chassis number: B-200-DG
Registration number: H5007BBB (Spanish.)
First supplied to a Mr. Rivers Buckley in May 1935 & still wearing its original & elegant Thrupp & Maberly drophead coachwork; this car has been maintained as part of a private collection without regard to expense. The car is finished in beautiful burgundy paintwork with a deep maroon hide interior all in superb condition along with new carpets. The hood is of beige canvas as is the hood bag. This is a particularly pretty car with a chrome stripe running along the door top & onto the rear quarter. The heavily louvered bonnet adds to the sporting appearance. Polished aluminum wheel discs complete the look.
Mechanically the car is in way above average condition with a freshly built engine that starts instantly & runs in silence. Huge amounts of money have been spent on the car including re-chroming, new leather to the seats & just about anything else one may imagine. It is a car that wants for nothing & wears particularly desirable coachwork. An incomplete set of small tools are found in the lid of the boot. The spare wheel resided under a cover at the rear of the car & the boot lid is fitted with a luggage rack allowing for the storage of additional cases when traveling.
The car is fitted with overdrive making for relaxed cruising at up to 80MPH. A full stainless steel exhaust system has also been installed. It is always a pleasure to handle a car needing no excuses; it may be viewed by prior appointment in Alicante Spain where it resides in a small collection. The trip down & back can be completed in a day via Easyjet.
