Description

Triumph TR6 in need of a complete restoration.

The chassis and body of this early 1971 model have been very well preserved. Not much attention will be needed to fix the rust issues on this car. It needs replacement of both outer sills, some patch work on the left hand inner sill and light patch work on the floors and battery tray. The chassis looks very solid.

The current top layer is the 2nd coat of paint, an older amateur respray over the original Sienna Brown colour. Some bondo peeling at the rear end (small older damage) and a small dent at the right rear fender. The boot lid has some holes from an old luggage rack, and one rust spot on the corner.

The engine of this car is frozen. The previous owner took the head off, to find out it had a popped valve. He took engine and transmission out and then let it sit for more than a year, resulting in a seized engine. Last inspection sticker dates from 1983.

The interior needs a full renovation. The car appears to be mostly complete, missing only a few worn trim items.

This Triumph can be inspected on appointment in our shop in Sint Anthonis, the Netherlands. It comes with a US title (New Jersey) and EU import documents (duties paid). Delivery throughout Europe can be arranged at extra costs.
