MINI THREE-WHEELER, B180 CGF (“Tritanic”)
History
This vehicle started life as a 1985 Austin Mini 998cc. In 2001, it was acquired by Anthony Anchors of Didcot, who built the stern section out of English oak, with copper fittings, and modified it to a tricycle layout. This builder has at one time or another constructed several unique bodies on Mini bases, including a miniature double-decker bus.
In 2017 a major overhaul costing around £2000 was undertaken, resulting in the grant of an MoT with no advisories on 27 April 2017, now renewed for a further year. The car is fitted with electronic ignition, and drives briskly and well, handling like a ‘normal’ Mini. (All working parts are standard Mini, so there are no problems with spares).
With another project coming along , the owner is reluctantly selling, or might possibly hire out for advertising or film work. A real eye-catcher/ attention getter, it can be seen at Broom, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, telephone the details below.
