Aprilia Tuareg 350 wind for Road, Enduro, Green laner etc Rotax engine
E reg bike, mot data states 30th December 1988, log book states 1999 so probably imported around 18 years ago.
Unfinished Project up for sale due to lack of time.
So when I got this bike I rode in around the village and every thing worked fine apart from the electric starter, its got a kick start so this wasn't a major issue. The bike handles, brakes, accelerates, electrics all work etc, however the top end was noisy and on inspection the top cam pulley had come loose (it just secured with one bolt). This had inturn knacked the cambelt and an oil seal behind the pulley. So the bike was parked in the corner of the unit and a parts list drawn up including fixing the electric start (see last pic) and.... its sat in the corner for the last four months while I play with other things. I'm not going to get round to doing it any time soon so its up for sale.
mileage on the bike is 49649 Km which is about 31, 000 miles in old money
Bike is complete, in good condition and was a runner until we investigated the engine noise, battery has been on a trickle charger.
This is a rare bike, only seen one other advertised in the last four months
Good news is lots of second hand parts on ebay. Plus its got a Rotax engine so lots of new Rotax parts available as this engine is used in the Harley Davidson MT350, Armstrong, CCMs as well as Aprilia
The Sprag clutch in the parts list is to sort out the electric start as the starter motor works but its not engaging the engine.
Logbook / V5 is in my name, HPI Clear, no mot (expired Aug 2016), once engine is repaired I don't see any reason why it wouldn't go through an MOT
