We are delighted to offer this beautiful Triumph TR4 2. 2, 100hp.
These 2-door roaster sports cars were produced by the British Triumph Motor Company from 1961 to 1965. This car is from 1964 production. The car was known during its development with the codename “Zest” due to it being Michelott's most modern design. With the TR4 model, the car came with the up winded windows instead of the side curtains of the older TR models, with a more angular design, also the boot is larger.
History:
An insurance company bought this car in 2008 from Classic car dealer Triangle Motors as a lottery prize. The current owner became the happy owner of this car in 2008. He has carefully looked after this beauty, (maintained accordingly and driven regularly). The car has been stored in a dry unit throughout this time. The car has been driven very little and only in good weather conditions. The car has driven only 77000km.
Everything works as it should. The interior has a marvelous wooden dashboard with chrome clocks and the original steering wheel. Wheels are stunning 48-wire wheels.
The interior looks completely original. Chassis is overall in very good, solid condition, a few minor scratches in a few places (please see photos). No signs of welding. No rust areas. Paint work also looks original.
This is a truly beautiful camouflage (the car turns out something totally different when roof on top), it is rather rare, a definite eye-catcher, well looked after by enthusiastic owner and stored accordingly.
Registered in a Finnish museum registration and has a current valid inspection (MOT/ TUV) certificate.
