Porsche 914 1. 7L for parts or restoration
This 1972 Volkswagen-Porsche 914 is incomplete, missing the right hand mirror, driver's seat, front targa clamps, door trim panels and door handle on driver's side. This car will be sold without wheels. The steel wheels are gone and the Fuchs alloy rims are excluded from the deal. Personal pick up only. We can assist with loading, but the wheels will have to be removed once the car is on the trailer.
The body is in need of structural work. It will need new floor panels, sills and repair work to the rear suspension mounts and area under the battery tray ('hell hole'). Original colour red, currently painted in orange primer. The rear trunk lid should be replaced. The front trunk lid can probably be repaired. Light rust damage to the lower edges of both door panels.
The engine has not been running since 1987 and is frozen. It is a 1. 7L P914 boxer, with fuel injection. 5 speed transmission with damage to one mounting bracket. Engine and transmission are out of the car. The exhaust system was beyond repair and has been disposed of.
The interior looks mostly complete, except for the driver's seat. Keys missing. Original radio, crack in the bottom right windscreen corner. Odometer reading 01059 mls. Kentucky title, registration receipt and emission test certificate from 1984.
This Porsche can be inspected on appointment in our shop in Sint Anthonis, the Netherlands. It comes with a US title (Kentucky) and EU import documents (duties paid).
