Description
MGB GT – 3, 000 miles since restoration
The MGB GT, designed by Pininfarina, was introduced in October 1965 and can claim to be one of the earliest sports hatchbacks to go into volume production. The rear deck offers excellent luggage space with a 2+2 option and improved aerodynamics gives the GT a top speed in excess of 100mph.
We are delighted to offer an early (1967), fully restored MGBGT in British Racing Green with desirable overdrive, wire wheels and black/ white interior. The car was the subject of an expensive body/ mechanical rebuild (photographs available) nearly twenty years ago and has covered just 3, 000 miles since.
The bodywork is outstanding with just the odd blemish from storage/ light use over the last twenty years and, as you would expect, has a detailed engine bay. Mechanically the GT drives just as it should with brisk acceleration, smooth transmission (overdrive engages/ disengages perfectly) and time honoured MGB exhaust note The interior was re-trimmed - seats, carpets, headlining, dashboard - to original specification with the exception of the Mota-Lita steering wheel during the restoration and the cockpit is still stunning.
As our website demonstrates, we do like outstanding, well sorted MGB’s and this example will provide lots of pleasure to the lucky new owner
