MGB GT Mk1 – Owned 40 years
First registered in July 1968 Milestones are delighted to offer an original specification MGB GT Mk1 that has just arrived from the second keeper. Used continuously in and around West Sussex/ Kent by the lady owner of 40 years the car was completely restored by Motorspeed, Selsey in 1995 at a cost in excess of £10k.
The body was stripped and any corrosion removed and new panels fitted as required. The car also received a mechanical overhaul with all parts inspected and replaced as necessary. The interior was also refurbished including one of the final factory original specification banjo steering wheels bought off the production line during a visit to Abingdon
The car was back on the road by the late 1990’s. Used sparingly, the stunning GT won prizes at a number of shows and continued to provide much pleasure to the family. The large history file includes a summary of ownership and many old invoices and MOT’s.
An unmolested MGB Mk1 in British Racing Green with wire wheels, overdrive, no sunroof and excellent provenance makes this car one of the most desirable GT’s on the market. The restoration from 1995 has aged extremely well and on the road the car does not disappoint.
