Leaving Germany in July 1967 this W108 250 S was supplied brand new to Japan, where it resided until very recently. The car has just been imported by 4 Star with all taxes paid. Having covered 87, 411 miles it is offered for sale as a project car that will require light restorative work before it can be registered for road use. Recent correspondence from Mercedes-Benz confirms it to be a matching-numbers example.
Finished in White Grey the Mercedes boasts striking red upholstery and carpet, with smart wood trim adorning the fascia. This right-hand drive manual example was specified with an electric sliding sunroof and middle front seat cushion for a third front passenger. It is also equipped with air conditioning, a period Sanyo radio, and stacked front headlamps with beehive indicators.
This car was special ordered new by the Western Automobile Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, the greater Tokyo and Yokohama authorized Mercedes-Benz agent at the time. The engine bay features an additional Japanese VIN plate as evidence of this. Please call us for more details.
