Built by Teknèitalia and new May 2016 at a cost of €35, 000.
Designed to serve Gelato or ice cream. Has a traditional Italian pozzetti freezer which is very stable and efficient and holds 8 X 5 litre cylinders of ice cream plus a separate freezer compartment which holds another 4 cylinders or can be used as a fridge instead. The freezers can work independently of each other.
The freezers are run by a rechargeable battery system which once charged lasts for 2 days before needing to be plugged in again.
Also has a sink with water system I've never even used plus storage cupboard, shelves and led lighting.
The Ape has a 400cc Diesel engine to drive about with and currently has 190km on the clock. I generally only drive it back and forth between my kitchen where I make ice cream and the shopping centre where I currently sell it.
It draws a lot of attention which helps bring business. Would be great for things like vintage car shows. It's beautifully designed and very high quality workmanship.
I have a Brian James trailer for transporting it around which is available and we could negotiate a price to include in the sale.
If the asking price is met I will install new whitewall tyres as the white walls have peeled off the rear tyres and the front is no longer quite white.
Reason for sale is after 2 years of looking I've finally found a suitable shop and I need to sell the Ape to finance it.
I will include 24 stainless steel cylinders and spatulas for serving.
