MGB ROADSTER, 1978 CHROME BUMPER.
Here we have a little jewel of a Roadster, which was subject to a total re-build some 4 years ago, carried out by Base Tech, and has since then, covered very few miles. The bodywork is arrow straight, with no rust issues, and is finished in the original MG classic colour of Iris Blue, which looks absolutely stunning! The engine bay is ultra clean, and detailed to show standard, as is the boot space. Mechanically this Roadster is very good. She starts first time, idles perfectly, and accelerates effortlessly. The MG sounds fantastic, thanks to it’s stainless steel exhaust system. The 4-speed gear box is smooth and precise, and has the benefit of a fully working overdrive. A quick inspection shows that the breaking, steering, and suspension systems were all either replaced or re-built during the car’s renovation,; along with the cylinder head being converted to run on lead-free petrol. The Rostyle wheels are all in good shape, along with 4 virtually new tyres. We have a set of painted wire wheels available to fit to the car, which would be at an extra cost. The interior is very good, having Navy blue seats with pale blue piping, it complements the bodywork perfectly! The MG also has Inertia seat belts, and new carpets have also been fitted. The hood is virtually new, and a full tonneau cover comes with the car.
To sum up, this is a beautiful MGB Roadster that is a very useable classic, and a joy to drive.
