EXTERIOR
Jaw dropping and mesmerising is the shape and quality of the intricate carbon weave that makes up the body and chassis of the CCXR Edition. Laid bare under a coat of lacquer there’s no questioning the focus this car has to be one of the fastest cars produced and to break records at the time in the traditional Koenigsegg way.
The sill trims say it all proudly displaying its stats as well as a gentle warning to any potential driver that this is a serious machine.
At the time of its release, no other supercar could match the CCXR Edition in terms of power-to-weight ratio, aerodynamic balance, downforce and chassis stiffness. At the same time, the CCXR Edition maintained fantastic drivability with a chassis and suspension setup that could absorb uneven road surfaces like no other Hypercar.
INTERIOR
While founder Christian von Koenigsegg pursuit for superior performance was unrivalled it was not to be at the expense of comfort and drivability. His mission statement for the CCXR Edition was to deliver superior performance – on the track, in a straight line and your favourite winding road – and to do so in style and comfort.
As such the cabin is finished in the very best red leather, along with all the modern equipment and safety systems available, dual airbags, electric windows, hydraulic lift system, power steering, sat nav, reverse camera, climate control, tyre monitoring and IPod connection, all of which add weight which needs to be removed from elsewhere in the car – which doesn’t comes easily at this level or at small cost.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine output numbers and build sheet are quite staggering – 1018 bhp at 7000rpm from the Koenigsegg aluminium V8, twin rotrex supercharged, 4. 8L engine. Torque figures are just as immense, 1080 Nm (796 ft/ lb) at 5600 rpm. To feed this monster air is drawn in via a carbon fibre intake manifold with optimised intake tracts and expelled through a Tig-welded ceramic-coated stainless steel exhaust manifold. Fuel is feed via sequential, multipoint fuel injection up-rated for the CCXR.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The alloy wheels are Koenigseggs own forged centre locking design. Fronts 19 x 9. 5 and rears bigger at 20 x 12. 5 in an attempt to hold traction to the road, failing this the car has an F1 style traction control system with 5 handling modes.
Tyres are Michelin Cup tyres measuring 255/ 35 and 335/ 30 on the rear.
The braking system is made up of a ceramic system; Huge front brakes at 380mm x 34mm ventilated ceramic discs with 8-piston light alloy Brembo monoblock calipers. Rear brakes: 262mm x 32mm ventilated ceramic discs with a 6-piston light alloy AP Racing caliper.

Built on the 4th August 2008 this is a unique CCXR edition being the only one in RHD.
Just 4 CCXR Edition cars were produced.
