1957 Francis Barnett 150 cc Plover Singe Cylinder Two Stroke Superb British Lightweight presented in beautiful restored condition . One of part of a superb private collection acquired by ourselves . All the bikes acquired are excellent and come with a researched past as this one does . An invoice supplied shows a full engine rebuild undertaken in October 1998 @ 10, 411 miles . To date the current milometer reading is 11, 243 miles . The motor starts and runs well and shows no signs of any apparent fault . Other supplied invoices show service work undertaken over the past 3 years . Many old MOT certificates are also supplied along with some photographs of restoration and correspondence between former and last keeper . Francis Barnett are best remembered for there lightweight two stroke motorcycles which were made in Coventry . The company remained in business until 1957 being taken over my Associated Motor Cycles or AMC . Production of Francis Barnett badged motor cycles ended in 1966 . Models such as the Falcon, Hawk, Kestrel, Merlin, Plover and Snipe will I am sure be well remembered along with that familiar two stoke sound and smell .
