1963 EMC/ Excelsior Special By David Blanchard Unique One Off , Built using an EMC frame and a 3 cylinder 493cc Excelsior engine as fitted to a "Berkley" sports car . The engine was brand new when fitted . Comes with original receipt from Excelsior and cost £100 ! It has two gearboxes , Triple carburetors , Adjustable back pressure on the exhaust and sports bypass exhaust . Electric start , Air forks , Chain lubrication , Sprung hub with horizontal damper , etc . In 1962 David Blanchard won a competition ran by "The Motor Cycle" for a special . He came 3rd with a Water cooled 250 cc "British Anzarni" powered BSA Bantam that I owned in 2011 . In 1964 he entered the competition again and won with this machine . It has had just two owners from new and comes with original buff log book , Period copy of the "Motor Cycle" showing the bike and rider on the cover , Letters from the great "Stanley Woods" , Original press photographs in black and white and full technical information .
