1951 Triumph T100 Tiger 500cc Genuine UK supplied motorcycle bought new on 13. 12. 1951 by the last owners Uncle Mr Fred H**** s from the famous British bike shop 'Whitby's of Acton' in West London.
Fred was an ex RAF aircraft engineer and had always looked after it well, he had a car since the early 60's and rarely used it and the bike spent most of its time covered in a dry shed.
When he retired he started a full restoration ( 1990's ) and over several years, possibly finishing it in the mid 90's, Fred had also mentioned that the bike cost him £200 to buy and £3000 to renovate.
Sadly he only rode the bike a few times before the bike was laid up again, then in 2015 the bike was taken out of the dry shed / garage into the sunlight. Redex was then poured into the bores / rotating the engine slowly, over the next 18 month's it was registered by a family member who had inherited the motorcycle.
The family member then carried out various jobs on the bike and had the cylinder head removed for insp/ overhaul, magneto rebuilt, a new alloy timing wheel & oil pump fitted, carbs refurb, clutch plates, dynamo check & regulator re calibrated, new brake light pull, lined clutch cable for easy operation, new silencers and some LED period looking side lights fitted for safety reasons.
Since the work has been done the bike has covered about 300 mile and has another two hundred to go to finish running in.
This actual Triumph was entered at the 'Atwell Motor Museum' and Won Best M/ C at summer 2016 show.
