Pewter over Moorland Green, Supplied new on 1st January 1976 by Rossleigh Garages Edinburgh, to well known and successful businessman Andrew Simon of Lanarkshire. Specified with Sundym Glass, Lucas Square Eights, Mascot alarm, Rear seat belts, Front Headrests and Knee roll trimmed in Spruce hide, amounting to a whopping £14725. A new Range Rover was approximately £4800 at the time ! The late model Shadow 1 is regarded as the most desirable of the range, retaining the traditional charm and class of the early 1, but benefitting from many of the Shadow 2 handling upgrades such as rack and pinion power steering and a revised suspension set up. Lived local all of its life, and spent much of its time in a collection in Tayside. Comes with full bookpack, two keys, original small and large tools, and its original well stamped service book. The factory chassis cards and build history, along with a copy of the original invoice also accompanies. Just undergone a major service, including brake overhaul, hydraulics, overhaul of valve body, brake accumulator spheres, transmission pipes and replacement of rear brake discs and pads along with all fluids at Mulsanne Motor Co. The air conditioning has been upgraded to R134A gas. The Walnut veneers and capping's were also removed and sent for refurbishment. All summed up, a well sorted and truly stunning late model Shadow 1. Undisputedly, one of the nicest colour combinations suited to the model.
