Description
This is my circa 1900/ 1901 Locomobile steam car project. Purchased many years ago as a collection of parts , it consists of some original and some remanufactured components.
It has an original Locomobile engine, rebuilt and tested on compressed air.
The engine number is readable and is acceptable to DVLA as a chassis number.
Original manual water pump.
Some chassis components.
All the other parts have been made by me using the original Locomobile drawings.
The car requires steam fittings, plumbing and the steam automatic( can be purchased or I have a set of castings),
The burner is basically finished requireing the super heater and a few parts.
The fuel, air and water tanks are all tested and fitted and the muffler is installed.
The professionally built boiler has all its certificates , is CE marked and has been hydraulically tested.(not steamed). It has new wheels and tyres, upholsted seats, new oak body framing and woodwork with a spindle seat back.
Many parts and materials are included and also a set of disc brakes for a future modification if found to be necessary.
New drive sprockets and differential gears are fitted.
This is a very detailed restoration/ recreation built regardless of cost .
I will include a set of King Of The Road brass road lamps and
all the drawings and information collected over the years .
I also have all the parts of a purpose made road trailer.
The vehicle is for sale at a sensible offer or exchange for a good quality, boiler tested miniature road locomotive. Any thing considered.
I need the space so nothing too large.
Please contact me, Steve for more information.
Please note new price and possibility of swop for miniature traction engine
