Sunderland & District Classic Vehicle Society

15 TROTTER TERRACE, RYHOPE, SUNDERLAND SR2 0LA

The first informal meeting of the society was held in the Board Inn on Durham road, Sunderland, on Thursday 7th February 1996. This was followed by a Formation Meeting at the Nissan Sports and Social Club, Washington. In October of the same year the meeting place was changed to the Prospect Public House in Sunderland.
The club has a reputation for being friendly, welcoming and helpful, and is run in a relaxed, informal way by an extremely hard-working committee.

Our Meetings are currently held on the first Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Farmers Club, Ryhope Village, Sunderland (approximately 3 miles south of the city centre on A1018). All are welcome to attend. The car park is at the front of the club.

The members of our club work exteremely hard for local charities. This year we have raised a substantial amount of money for 'Help for Heroes', assisting our armed forces who are in war torn countries. We held a raffle with 6 main prizes consisting of electronic goods and playthings.

Each year we organise several Shows in the North East of England. Most shows have stands for Specialist and Same-marque cars and certain shows include trade stands. Refreshments are usually available at all venues.
