THE SWIFT CLUB

The club was founded in June 1985 at an impromptu weekend rally in Norfolk organised by two Swift owners. Twenty five Swift cars attended and the owners agreed that the rally had been very enjoyable and should be repeated. It was suggested that a Swift owners club should be formed to organise an annual rally and produce a regular Newsletter where members could exchange technical information and advertise cars or parts for sale and wanted. The keeper of the Swift Register since 1974, created by the Bean Car Club, was prevailed upon to start the club with the following objectives:

• To encourage the restoration and use of cars, cycles, motorcycles produced by Swift of Coventry Co. (and their predecessors the Swift Motor Co. and the Swift Cycle Co.)
• To maintain Registers of all known surviving products of the above companies.
• To arrange a rally for Swift vehicles every year.
• To produce a regular Newsletter and/or Magazine.
• To establish, hold and maintain a library of technical literature, articles, sales brochures, etc., relating to Swift products from which copies could be made for club members.
• To generally promote, protect and preserve the Swift marque.

The Club is a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) and The RAC Motor Sports Association (RAC MSA)

Membership is open to all past or present owners of Swift cars, cycles and motorcycles and to any person having an interest in these vehicles.
