The heart of the XK120 was the legendary XK engine, a sophisticated and powerful twin-overhead-camshaft 3,4 litre  160 hp inline-six that would be evolved over the years, being adopted by Jaguar until 1992.

Restoring an XK120 is an opportunity to see one of the most beautiful cars ever come back to life, overseeing the restoration according to personal preferences and obtaining the perfect example according to the owner's tastes.
 However, finding solid unrestored XK120s is becoming increasingly difficult, making this car particularly interesting.
 
This left-hand drive XK120 is a restoration project where much of the heavy lifting has already been completed to a high standard.
 
The bodywork was dismantled, stripped, restored, reassembled and prepared for painting, as was the chassis.
 
The model-correct engine , but of a different year as vendor explains, has been fully restored by a specialist in the UK and is fitted with new pistons and crankshaft. The flywheel has been overhauled and the clutch assembly is new.
 
All the gauges have been restored and re-calibrated.
 
The precious wooden dashboard has been restored in the past and needs to be refreshed.
 
Many spare parts and original accessories are supplied with the car, including the fabric hood and, rear wheel spats and  vent windows.  The soft top is original but needs to be redone: It lacks the two front half-windows, that is, those of the windshield, the two side windows, including the chrome frames that house them, which are not present, but the side deflectors are. Similarly, the wood finishing trims above the doors are missing, likely lost over the years it has spent in workshops, perhaps forgotten in some corner.

Originally sold in the United States and imported into Italy in 1989, this XK120 has been patiently restored over the years and needs the attention and love of a true enthusiast, to take care of the final stages of the restoration, bringing it back to its original splendour, to enjoy the pleasure of getting behind the wheel of one of the most significant sports cars of all time.

This XK120 has been partially restored over the years to a high standard and many of the most expensive and demanding phases of the restoration have already been carried out.

The bodywork has been dismantled, fully stripped and brought to metal, restored, reassembled, primed and prepared for painting.
 
The floor pans have been replaced. The frame has been restored with equal care and painted with appropriate protective paint.
 
The interior includes seats in fair condition and a previously restored wooden dashboard that needs to be detailed.
 
All the gauges, correct for the model, have been restored and calibrated and are ready to be installed.

The car is also accompanied by many spare parts including the soft top, the vent windows, the rear wheel spat covers and many external and internal components and trim details.
