The 1978 Triumph Bonneville T140E sits at a fascinating crossroads in British motorcycling history. Produced by the worker-owned Meriden Co-operative during the pivotal year when the classic Bonneville was re-engineered to meet new emissions standards, the T140E introduced a redesigned parallel-port cylinder head, Amal Mk2 carburettors, and enclosed crankcase breathing, a more refined evolution of the legendary 750 twin. This example's engine number confirms it as a T140E.

This particular machine has been in the devoted care of one owner, the seller's late husband Don, for approximately 30 years. Throughout that time it was garaged in a properly managed workshop environment and the vendor states that Don maintained all of his vehicles to a high standard both mechanically and cosmetically.
