A great 993 Turbo finished in the lovely and rare colour combination of Polar Silver with full Flamenco red leather interior which really suits this model. It was ordered to a high specification which includes, sunroof, HiFi sound package with the rare Nokia Sound Processor Option, sports suspension and headlight upgrade with power wash. It was supplied when new by the Porsche main dealer in Wilmslow, Cheshire in August 1996 and following a running in period they upgraded the car with the X50 Power Pack, this being available as a Porsche authorised upgrade via Porsche main dealers. The X50 Motorsport upgrade increases power to 430 bhp with twin K24 turbo chargers, sports exhaust and an additional oil cooler.
The car has covered 55, 000 miles in the hands of three owners from new and it has been very well looked after by each as it remains in superb virtually as new order throughout and comes with the most detailed and comprehensive maintenance and use history I have seen for some time. A log notes every journey completed by the second owner from purchase in 1998 to sale in 2014.
Following its delivery in August 1998 the Porsche remained with the original owner for eighteen months during which 20, 000 miles were covered. In March 1998, Ron Stratton & Co, the Rolls Royce and Bentley dealer in Knutsford, Cheshire sold the car to a local enthusiast who retained it until 2014. During his ownership the mileage rose to 54, 000 miles with virtually every trip being noted. This log details a fastidious approach to maintenance with any fault being immediately attended to and services completed correctly, even the hours of battery charging are noted!
In 2014 the car was purchased by the last owner to join his notable private collection of special cars. Following purchase, the Turbo was fully evaluated by the highly regarded Porsche experts, Clark and Carter, any area requiring attention was addressed. The Turbo has covered less than 1, 000 miles since this work and consequently remains in superb condition throughout. A full inspection and service has recently been completed by the Porsche Centre in Swindon.
