This magnificent right hand drive 993 RS has covered 37, 000 miles in the hands of only two careful owners, the second owning the car for most of its life. It has led a quiet life being driven gently on dry summer roads and comes with everything supplied with it when new and a full, very comprehensive maintenance history with all work being completed by two Porsche main dealers from new. A fully stamped service book and two large files of invoicing detail the work completed.
This is one of only seven examples delivered new to the Hong Kong market and as detailed on the Porsche Certificate of Conformity on file it was ordered in Polar Silver with black interior, options fitted were hardback sports seats, more powerful battery, electronic air conditioning, strut bar and air bags. It was completed at Porsche Stuttgart on the 5th December 1995 and supplied to its first owner by the Porsche main dealer, Jebsen Motors, on the 24th January 1996.
The first owner, a habitual Porsche buyer and prominent businessman in Hong Kong retained the car for a couple of years and covered about 10, 000 km, using the supplying dealer for maintenance as per schedule. At this point he agreed to sell the RS to the second and last owner, a Porsche driving friend from the UK who was working in Hong Kong at the time. The RS shared a garage with the new owner’s 2. 4S which he had brought from the UK and it continued to be lightly enjoyed and serviced by the supplying dealer, Jebsens.
In May 2002 the owner returned to the UK and brought his beloved 993 RS with him. It has continued to be carefully used and fastidiously maintained by Dick Lovett, the official Porsche Centre in Swindon, any issue however small has been immediately dealt with. For example, several years ago the engine was rebuilt by Porsche Swindon, simply to address any oil leaks.
The RS remains in virtually unmarked condition in all respects and has recently benefited from a full detail and PPF treatment by the highly regarded Topaz Detailing.
It comes with all books, including stamped service book and the rarely seen RS Owners Supplement, all keys and data tag, tools and the above-mentioned two large files detailing the cars life from new to date.
