Finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Black seating with White piping and Aluminium Silver wire wheels wearing Michelin XZX tyres this 1954 Austin Healey 100 is an early original UK right hand drive home market BN1 model with one owner for the last 35 years.
On the outside this Healey remains very original to this day with all cockpit trims matching the body number, its original stamped bonnet and what appears to be its original boot in very good solid condition. The car has benefitted from a full exterior respray three years ago to a driver quality standard. This BN1 Healey was first restored by the owner in the late 1990s with works including new floors, inner sills, ‘A’ post, ‘B’ post and inner wings. At this time the chassis/ tub was fully painted in the original style cellulose Healey Blue.
Mechanically this 100 remains impeccably original with its original rear axle, gearbox and engine all in good shape, the engine itself having last had a rebuild including a rebore 1, 500 miles ago. The car shifts through all the gears nicely deploying performance very satisfactory for an original specification early car.
Inside the seats are in nice shape with no tears having been recovered with an older Black kit in the correct early style seat patterning with White piping and Black carpet plus Black door panels to match. All instrumentation is fully functioning as it should.
In summary this is a nice driver quality car the owner could be proud of with good mechanicals which could make an excellent foundation for the new owner to add value to over time.
