BN2 gearbox upgrade with overdrive
Lovely!!!
The Austin Healey is a true British automotive icon, very pretty very fun and unerringly British
They come in various guises, what we have here is the earliest such iteration being a BN1 supplied new all BN1's had a three speed manual gearbox but happily this car has been given the sensible upgrade of a BN2 four speed gearbox
In total circa £30, 000 was spent restoring this car in 2007 since when the long term owner has only used her on high days and holidays - naturally there is a very extensive record of the works carried out including a folder full of photographs from every stage of the restoration
Her underside also is of course clean as a whistle and sturdy as anything having been properly prepared and protected during the restoration
To drive she is a total dream, starts on the button every time revs up beautifully and produces a real cracking tone from the sports exhaust
It's quite clear when you drive her, or indeed ride in the passenger seat, that she has been looked after brilliantly well. In fact only one mechanic has almost exclusively looked after her for the past 20 years and it really does show
Cosmetically too she is really tip top with only a very minor patina here or there
A proper cracker!!!
