A beautiful one owner W124 230E in immaculate condition throughout.
We recently sold a very low mileage W124 300E 4-Matic and this was the sister car to it, owned by the same gentleman from new.
Purchased new from Sunningdale Carriage Company in 1990, it was ordered in Smoke Silver with Brazil Brown cloth, air conditioning, cruise control, self-levelling rear suspension and ASD (automatic locking differential).
The mileage is 137, 799, though only 87, 119 is recorded due to a documented speedo replacement by MB in 1994. But given the condition, it’s hard to believe it has covered as much as 87k, let alone 137k.
All original books and manuals come with the car along with a full service history, all with Sunningdale the supplying dealer, totalling 23 stamps. We have the original bill of sale (it cost £28, 274. 81) and all correspondence relating to the purchase of the car, plus receipts from Sunningdale supporting the service stamps.

We have just carried out a major recommissioning service including all fluids and filters. We have also refurbished the air conditioning system and the brakes along with fitting four new tyres.
Thanks to being garaged from new and carefully maintained by its sole owner (an aircraft engineer), this W124 is in incredible condition. There is no corrosion, or previous repairs, fantastic paintwork and new wheel coverings. It even still has its original ‘Sunningdale’ number plates.
The interior retains that freshness of new with no UV damage, again, thanks to being garaged. The woodwork is in superb order and the original over-mats have no discernible wear.
This car is tangible proof that careful ownership and maintenance can matter more than its 32 years and 137k miles, and so rare to find these at one owner after over 30 years.
